The flowers used in Koharumaru-sensei's classes are not from flower markets, but seasonal flowers blooming in gardens and mountains.
Each participant carefully focuses on bringing out the best in the plants, and engages with the plants and themselves in the class.

Flower artist. Resides in Tsuchiura City, Ibaraki Prefecture. Characterized by free ideas and styles not bound by any school. Conveys the joy of encountering flowers in daily life, feeling their energy, and arranging them.
In April 2013, held a solo exhibition "Hana" at the former Shoji Hamada Residence within Mashiko Ceramic Art Messe. Active in a wide range of activities including collaborative exhibitions with woodworkers and potters, solo exhibitions, ikebana live performances, and wedding flower arrangements.
